A band formed by the coming together of three different minds, united by a passion for traditional Anglo-American music in a diverse range of forms including country, blues, bluegrass, folk and rock. The meeting of two singers, Brit Andy Penington and Stefano Raggi, a bluesman from Rome, took place at the Bottleneck studios in Turin, and After collaborating on each other’s solo projects they decided to join forces with producer and guitarist Simone Ubezio.

The Wild Boars were born. The musical variety of debut album “A Bottle Or A Gun” is complemented by the diversity of its lyrics. Stefano Raggi’s songs are predominantly intimate tales inspired by personal experience, such as “Your Train” and “Do I Have To?”, while Andy confronts different issues. “Vigilante”, for example, is a modern murder ballad addressing how such heinous crimes are sensationalised in the media, and “Out Of Luck” tells the story of a young man called to arms, forced to fight a war he neither wants nor believes in.
